History of Zeta Delta Chapter - Southeast Missouri State University

Zeta Delta Chapter (Southeast Missouri State)

Zeta Delta Chapter was installed at Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, on November 5, 1994.

Fifty-eight members were initiated on November 5, 1994, including one alumna initiate from the Southeast Missouri Crescent Circle. The Initiation ceremony was performed by Gamma Tau Chapter of St. Louis University and was followed by a banquet at the Holiday Inn Convention Center.

Alumnae Vice President Sharon Dunham gave a motivational speech encouraging the chapter to set high standards of excellence. The chapter members accepted her challenge as well as the long-awaited charter presented on behalf of International Council. Ann Bronsing, former International President, coordinated the Initiation service and served eloquently as the Mistress of Ceremonies for the Installation banquet. Also in attendance at the banquet were: Province X Collegiate Director Karen Harris Story, Province X Alumnae Director "Tucky " Wheeler Hobbs, Province X Financial Director Ann McCarthy, Assistant to the Financial Vice President-Operations Joanne Roman and Collegiate Leadership Consultants Traci Steele and Julie Dunn.
